Cason Day is an actor, musician, composer, and audio engineer based in New York City.
Originally from Houston, Texas, he began performing at a young age in elementary school plays. His first real role came in a production of Anything Goes his sophomore year of high school, where he played Reporter #2. From that point forward, he was bitten with the theatre bug, performing in every mainstage production his high school offered (Legally Blonde, Shrek the Musical, and Urinetown to name a few). After a brief stint at the University of North Texas, he attended AMDA in New York City. Since graduating, he has performed in over a dozen professional musicals and plays. In March of 2023, he originated the role of Man 2 in the World Premiere of Celebrate Sondheim (Four Corners Musical Theatre Company). He has also performed such roles as Carl Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet (Mountain Movers Theatre Company), Jerry Allison in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Cape Fear Regional Theatre), and Plankton in The Spongebob Musical (Mountain Movers Theatre Company).
His professional music career also began during his high school years. Starting in Houston as the drummer of a metalcore band, his music quickly brought him front and center as a lead singer and guitarist in New York City. He has performed at historic New York venues such as The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bowery Electric, and Pianos.
His work as a composer can be heard in the award-winning short film Influencer, and the upcoming song cycle Two Drink Minimum (Music & Lyrics).
